According to a Mehr reporter, Ayatollah Rasoul Falahati met with international students at the University of Guilan on Sunday morning, congratulating them on the arrival of Student Day and stating: "Admitting foreign students is one of the initiatives of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Referring to the importance of historical events in each country regarding the naming of Student Day in Iran, he added: "Azar 6 is a day to honor the status of students and to commemorate the protest of Tehran University students and the martyrdom of three of them in 1953, seventy-one years ago, in protest against the presence of Richard Nixon, the then Vice President of the United States of America, in Iran."

The Imam of Rasht Friday Prayer pointed out the importance of language learning, acquiring knowledge, awareness, and anti-corruption among students, and said: Learning knowledge is one of the fundamental matters that Islam has paid attention to, and religious leaders have called on their followers to acquire knowledge and practice it.

He clarified: "In addition to recommending its followers to seek knowledge, Islam also recommends non-Muslims to seek wisdom and knowledge because it knows that a person who attains wisdom comes closer to the truth and realizes the legitimacy of facts."

Pointing out that today's human wars are not in accordance with the logic of reason and revelation, Ayatollah Falahati added: "Therefore, it is awareness that protects knowledge, and if awareness is absent, the arrogant one will employ the world."

The Supreme Leader's representative in Gilan also pointed out that Iran's scientific rank after the revolution is much higher than before the revolution, and said: "This scientific growth in Iran has been achieved in the shadow of the resistance of the youth and people against oppression and arrogance."

Pointing out that humans are obligated to stand and fight against tyranny, oppression, and arrogance, he stated: "Today, all students of the world's major universities are aware of this issue and have stood up against global oppression and arrogance, and this resistance is a lesson from our divine book, the Quran."

Ayatollah Falahati added: Each of you students is also a messenger of knowledge, awareness, and anti-corruption for your nations.
